5 things you could buy instead of an iMac Pro

We love Macs.  We’ve used them in the office for years.  Alan uses Solus – but the rest of us are macOS diehards.

When we watched the unveiling of the new iMac Pro, we got a little excited.  All the svelt, reliable and rapid goodness of an iMac but even more powerful, and in a new darker shade too.  It’s safe to say we are quite easily pleased.

Then, however, came the price.  Starting at a whopping £4,899.00.  However you look at it, it’s an expensive computer.  Configured with all the upgrades you can spend over £12,500.00 on the latest Cupertino desktop.

We’re not looking at the optional extras today though, just the standard entry-level device. We were wondering, if you’re about to opt for a lovely new iMac Pro – what could you buy instead?

Here are the top 5 suggestions that we came up with

4 standard iMacs

With a more palatable £1049.00 asking price, the 21.5″ iMac might not be quite so impressive – and will be somewhat slower – but you could invite three friends round and have 1 each.  Or have one in every room.

Total Price: £4196.

A 14 night Caribbean cruise

for two, staying in a suite.  Leaving Southampton in October, visiting St. Maarten, US Virgin Isles, Puerto Rico, Haiti and Florida.  Definitely a holiday of a lifetime.

A Rubix Cube Crystal Clutch by Judith Leiber

That’s our options – quite an eclectic selection.  The iMac Pro is still tempting you though, isn’t it?
